July 1! Time for a new start.
When I began to write this blog I envisioned it as a journal of my garden. But
after a while I could see it might easily become a litany of whines - what about the creatures? what about too much rain? what about the tomatoes curling up? what about the radishes turning black?
And that was not the idea behind my vision.
I began to realize that I wanted to include my art in this blog. And my friends. So I added a paragraph about these things. But still it was all about 'the garden'.
During my quiet time, it came to me - what I want to write about is growth and transformation. I want to give and receive inspiration that will aid that growth.
And so that's what this blog will be about: growth of creativity, growth of plants and animals, growth with friendships, and most of all, growth in understanding and faith.
I will try to write at least one way every day that I have observed growth,
And we'll just see where that leads us.
Growing for the day:
Well, this one is easy - for today I see that any growth is not going to be just about the garden but also about so much else.
I have been moving perennial Irises and lilies around the garden. Perennials are just like yeast - they not only grow in place but they expand well beyond the place they were planted. What a gift!
Friends are like this, too. One friend always lead to another - our lives are gifted as our friendship gardens
Recipe from the garden: Cucumber Cream Dressing
small English cucumbers, sliced thin
Olive Oil lowfat Mayonnaise
Buttermilk - enought to thin
chopped parsley, dill, and chives
salt and pepper
mix and chill.
