Well - today's growth topic is easy.
On July 2nd many moons ago, our family grew to 4. Michael David Glenn entered the world 2 days early. He was expected on July the 4th - his ob suggested the name Captain America and that would have fit perfectly.
He was a firecracker from the day he was born.
Typically, he entered the world before he was ready - but there was a party going on - with bagpipes providing loud music - and he couldn't wait.
And some of the winners are in:
First Tomatoes of the year
In the small cherry category: three Moongold on June 28thj
In the Heirloom full size category: Purple Cherokee
needs to ripen for a day but picked
My poor little leaves were curling up -I looked online at an agricultural site and found that the 'hooks' were a sign of lack of calcium. Remembering my mother's advice that those terrible leg cramps you get come from a lack of calcium - I'll just bet my little darlings are not only looking like they're cramping but probably are feeling it too. I sprayed them with a calcium spray starting last Wednesday and they're slowly but surely unbending and looking much more comfortablel
