So we've gotten a little off the syllabus! I've found this more formal approach works very well if there are a lot of students in class and many of those are straight line thinkers. They want to know what's coming next and need to keep everything in order. Some classes are like that.
This spring class has been a wonderful opportunity to work with a smaller group who are more interested in working to improve their own painting.
This means we can depart from the original plan and find out those things we are having issues with.
This week is a good example. You've requested help in working with flesh tones. After class I'll post the 'formulas' we used - remembering that there is no real sure formula as people are all different in their skin tones even in differing circumstances. We'll talk about that this week.
